This updated training is based on the Matrix Model Manual Revised and Expanded Version. The two-day workshop includes how to implement the Matrix Model thru lecture discussion, videos and experiential exercises. There will be special emphasis on familiarizing the attendees with the components of the model and how to start the implementation process. We will also discuss the Matrix Model Program Certification. Participants in this training will be able to: describe the various core components that comprise the Matrix Model and begin implementing them at their organization, educate clients regarding their substance use and how the Matrix Model can provide the skills they need to move forward in their recovery process. We will also discuss how the Matrix Model can not only assist individuals with new skills but also improve program outcomes.

This training will cover Matrix basics with an emphasis on addressing the substance use and behaviors that lead to involvement in the justice system. Addressing reintegration back into the community and the family, employment and barriers that cause difficulty when justice involved. This training will also provide ways to provide treatment in an integrated approach. Increase successful program outcomes. The workshop will include the Matrix Model Core Training as well as the additional criminogenic focused components.

This training will cover Matrix Model basics but address the issues specifically related to Teen and Young Adult Populations. We will cover the differences in the Adult Matrix and the Teen and Adolescent model. In dealing with Teens and Young Adults it will also provide information on Family and Support Education. Review the core components and mock groups to help practice skills using the Matrix handouts.
